Arnohn’s rehabilitation philosophy is based on four core principles: Education, Compassion, Patience, and Understanding. With this approach, he is better able to connect with clients, recognize their needs, and provide the support and guidance they require to succeed and meet their goals.
As a Kinesiologist, he is a strong believer in evidence-based practice to optimize functional gains. Which he uses to educate clients and support them in their rehab journey. His areas of practice include injury rehabilitation, functional training, and fitness coaching.

Matthew Edema graduated with a Bachelor of Science, Major in Kinesiology degree from SFU.
While in his studies, he completed the Active Health and Rehabilitation concentration. He has
also gained plenty of clinical experience throughout his degree in diverse settings. He has
worked with patients with various conditions of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics.
Specifically, Matthew has worked as both a registered and student kinesiologist where he
developed the necessary skillset of a proficient kinesiologist. He has also gained valuable patient
care experience while volunteering at two pediatric physiotherapy clinics and working as a
physiotherapy assistant. As a strength and conditioning intern, he assisted lead strength coaches in administering training sessions for SFU athletes. He has also done research in developing
exercise search filters for researching evidence-based practices on academic search engines, a
tool to be used by physiotherapists and kinesiologists to alleviate their workload.
Matthew believes in combining patients’ lived experiences with his expertise to create
personalized exercise programs. By consciously considering the patients’ goals, he facilitates an
environment where they feel empowered to take control of their health. He also believes in using
evidence-based practices to not only aid in the patient’s return to the activities that they love, but to also prevent re-injury.
Growing up, Matthew played many sports at high levels. Some of these include basketball,
soccer, ball hockey, and swimming. He continues to live an active lifestyle by regularly

Michelle Gibson received her Bachelor of Physiotherapy in India. She continued her education in Canada and specialized in Manual Therapy, FCE and Gunn IMS. She completed her Doctor of Manual Therapy residency program with OGI in January 2014. She is also certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation and Concussion Management. Kayla earned her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University, after obtaining her Bachelors of Health Sciences with minor in Gerontology from the University of Ottawa.
